This is a wonderful resource for a start for research in Islamic philosphy, and of course, for those taking your courses. It is easy to use. You might even make links of broad headings that then take you to the pages with listed documents...but not necessary. Very easy to use as is.

Hello, this is Amanda Hehner from Wed night Introduction to Philosophy class. I am attempting to have a discussion about our first assigned reading chapter one, 3-41. I found the part about Thrasymachus and his view point made a lot of sense. The chapter stated he was considered a cynical philosopher because he believed that "the most powerful group/individual would do and say what ever is best for their group even if millions of others would be harmed". Does this remind anyone of anything? I don't know maybe the election! I also think that the feminist philosophers described within the chapter were correct in stating that even the "questioning/forward thinking" subject, philosophy is still caught in a male/aggressive focus. This is a call to all the women in the world START THINKING INDEPENDANTLY and PHILOSOPHIZE NOW! Did anyone hear THAT! I am writing to You!
